Obtaining funding for Tribal programs requires that Tribal managers possess skills needed to prepare winning proposals. By establishing a targeted approach which matches your needs to available funding sources, you can generate thousands of new dollars in funding. Planning a program and preparation of winning proposals is a skill which can be developed. This seminar provides detailed checklists, methods, and practice in the skills needed. Also, this seminar will provide the key components of proposals and the criteria which funding agencies use to evaluate them. Components which will be developed include the proposal summary, the introduction, the needs summary, the program objectives, methodology, evaluation procedures, and the performance based budget. Participants will practice these key components and will critique proposals based on funding source proposal review criteria.
