The Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (P.L. 104-330) and the implementing regulations have changed the relationship between HUD and Tribes regarding Indian housing. The seminar will provide a detailed analysis of the statute, regulations, their amendments, and their impact. It will examine the requirements for the IHP (Indian Housing Plan) and discuss the allocation formula and the resultant housing activities. The seminar will also deal with NAHASDA administrative requirements and grant terms and conditions. Housing construction and procurement obligations as well as construction administration will also be examined. This seminar is for all housing program staff.
