Tribal governments are required to essentially follow the same procedures as other employers. However, there are unique and special provisions that apply only to Tribal governments. This seminar is designed to assist you in complying with federal tax requirements and to meet withholding, depositing and reporting responsibilities. Topics which will be examined include fishing rights, elected and public officials, independent contractors versus employees, business expense reimbursements, scholarships and educational assistance, unemployment taxes and others. This seminar is for Tribal finance staff, senior management, the Tribal treasurer's office and elected officials.
