Ensuring that Tribal elections are conducted in a fair and uniform manner requires an understanding of federal regulations, constitutional principles, Tribal election ordinances, and court decisions. This course provides an analysis of these laws, examples of representative Tribal law, and a discussion of procedures needed to insure fairness. The seminar also examines Secretarial election procedures and the Federal-Tribal relationship. This seminar is for Tribal officials and staff.
